Liz Thomas, LMSW

Navigating young adulthood can be challenging, with transitions, identity formation, and the search for belonging. As your therapist, I’m here to help you feel confident in your worth and sense of belonging.

I specialize in narrative therapy, using storytelling to reshape the narratives that define your identity. We'll explore the stories you tell yourself and how they impact your self-perception. I also integrate DBT techniques to support trauma-informed care, focusing on mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

We’ll use mindfulness to stay present, manage emotions, and enhance self-awareness. DBT will also help identify triggers, build coping skills, and strengthen communication. Together, we’ll create a path toward resilience and better connections with others.

I bring pop culture, such as movies, anime, and music, into sessions to make therapy more relatable and insightful. As a queer woman of color, I provide a culturally responsive space that honors your identity. Humor and lightheartedness will also be part of our journey to keep sessions engaging and make introspection easier.

I’m committed to providing a safe, authentic space where all parts of you are welcomed. Together, we’ll explore what true belonging means for you and foster your growth. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you in embracing your unique self. Let's begin this journey with curiosity and a commitment to your well-being.
