    For many, the therapeutic process begins with a free 15 minute consultation. This allows you to briefly meet with your provider before committing to a full therapy session. This brief interaction can help you gauge their approach, expertise, and overall suitability for your needs.

  • Intake session

    The first intake session is 60 minutes and focuses on exploring your concerns, background, and goals. You'll likely fill out some forms, and the therapist will ask about your personal history, current situation, and any relevant medical or mental health info. You'll also discuss your therapy goals, and together, you'll create a treatment plan.

  • Therapy sessions

    Therapy sessions can vary depending on the therapist's approach and the goals of the client. However, here is a general overview of what typically happens during therapy sessions: establishing rapport; discssion of current concerns; exploration and reflection of thoughts, feelings, and bliefs related to issues; skill-building andcoping strategies; processing emotions; challenging and reframing thoughs; goal-setting and progress tracking; homework and activities; and termination and closure.

  • Termination and closure

    When you and your therapist feel that your goals have been achieved or that you've made significant progress, you may discuss termination or transitioning to a maintenance phase. This includes reflecting on your therapeutic journey, discussing strategies for relapse prevention, and planning for the future.
